Is this really helping reefs, or is it greenwashing?
We commit 30% of gross revenue to coral restoration funds, donated monthly, with every receipt published on our public impact ledger — and the ledger honestly starts at $0. We make no carbon-offset claims, ever: coral reefs are not net carbon sinks. If we can't show you a receipt, we don't claim the impact.
Why coral reefs instead of trees?
Everyone plants trees. Meanwhile reefs support roughly a quarter of all marine species, shield coastlines from storms, and are dying faster than almost any ecosystem on Earth — while getting a fraction of the funding. Restoration genuinely works (grow fragments in nurseries, outplant them onto damaged reef), it's just underfunded. So our money goes underwater.
What does 'cm² of reef' actually mean?
Restoration partners grow coral fragments in nurseries and outplant them onto damaged reefs. One fragment costs about $30 and grows into roughly 400 cm² of living colony. Your per-message cm² is your fair-share attribution of the community donation pool — recalibrated with each donation cycle so attributed area always matches real donated dollars.
What's my personal reef?
Every message you send grows a little animated reef on your dashboard — corals fill in, fish show up, milestones celebrate real moments like funding a full fragment. It's your share of the community's impact made visible (and shareable), not a purchase of a specific coral.
Is the free plan actually useful?
Yes — 25 messages a day on the same model Pro uses, and your messages still grow your reef (at 0.05 cm² each). Pro removes the cap and raises your impact rate 5×.
Can I see where the money goes?
The impact ledger lists every donation, partner, and receipt, updated monthly. No aggregate hand-waving — actual receipts or it didn't happen.
